Did I read somewhere on one of these message boards that the Xero-G frameset was getting a redesign to fix some problems? If that's the case, what are the changes and when will it be released?

For those of you who have this frameset, is there enough room to put a YS91 in the frames? I'm guessing the fan shroud would probably need to be modded, but would it fit otherwise? I'd like to use these frames on my current big-blocked R50.

Thanks
Ryan

You're probably referring to the 600ep frame kit. It's a balls to the wall electric conversion.

Real Raptors --- the XeroG is not dead, we still sell them and still have all the spares for them, the new E version 600EP is due out soon and the v2 glow one will follow next year previous tread
it is not out yet , and no new news has leaked out yet they are still working on it

you should be able to use it with mods to the fan shroud for sure

they have regular stack frames in aluminum and carbon that should also work for the big block conversion with the same modd to the shroud needed

I've seen IYKIST's frames. They're nice, but I like the CCPM on the Xero-G frames. It should allow the R50 head to have more pitch and cyclic range. Plus I dig the silver carbon

The XeroG is great, the only problem I found was the boom
support, the inner one does not block the boom.
I fixed the problem with a third aluminium grip.

I agree with you on the boom support. Here is another way to fix this problem. It's at the bottom of the page on this link. http://runryder.com/helicopter/t217595p1/

Sorry posted on other thread from link above as well, didn't really want to duplicate the post, but maybe of use to some ??

Have you seen the newer boom clamps that are included in the new 600ep conversion ? a lot more surface area on the clamp and stop the clamp from crushing the boom from what I could see!!

Ryan.

Niiiice,

better than my solution, the boom will not be damaged when the clamps are too tight.
Do you have a broken frame? ....he he
