The plug with the three wires goes into the rudder channel channel 4
any adjustments you make on the travel adjust on this channel will then relate to your yaw rate or if you like piroette speed.
The plug with the single wire goes into the channel that you will control the gyros gain through useually channel 5 the gear channel
Set the travel adjust on the rudder channel to 100 and then set the end points of the gyro through the limit setting on the gyro itself so as the servo you are useing does not bind.
Then reset the travel adjust to about 70 to give you a medium speed on the tail.
( this can then be adjusted to your own likeing)
Most people I know are useing a value of between 30 to 50 as a gain value depending on what servo they are useing. This value will be in your travel adjust for channel 5 or if you are useing the gyro function on the 9cap through that.
Im not realy sure on what value they are setting the delay function to on the gyro itself maybe someone else can advise you on that.
regards
Nigel

The manual for the 401 will explain everything for the actually switches on the gyro.

But for the radio, set ch. 4 (rudder) endpoints to 100 or a bit less (this controls piro rate), and set ch. 5 to 100/100. Now go to the advanced menu. Choose gyro, and set the mode to "GY". Then use the cursors to get the gain adjust (I use sw. F on the 9CHP, which is a 2 position). An arrow points to the gain function that is active. Flipping sw. F (or whichever you choose) will move the arrow up and down, say from AVC (heading hold) to NOR (normal mode). Use the dial to adjust these values--turning it one way will give you "--> AVC XX%" and the other will give you "--> NOR XX%". I think I'm running about 55% AVC and 50% NOR on my Hawk Sport.

The big silver one beside the screen, that you rotate and press. This is the only dial used in programming the radio.
