I was able to complete and test my 36kv chili pepper brushless in my blade CP today The smile says it all. I seperated the esc and placed it on a LG to reduce glitch possibilities. It works.....NO GLITCHES.

I had to cut down the cooling fins on the servo side of the motor and enlarge the motor mounting hole.

I had an accident and broke my flat blades yesterday. I tested symmetrical blades with the stock motor while awaiting my flat blade order and was disappointed. No lifting power with the fixed pitch curve. Today was different! With the sym blades and gusty 10 to 15 mph winds I was able to trim out the little bird. I had to go beyond mid stick to hover but what power! And I'm carrying heavy 1500Mah Kokams. When I goosed her the vertical acceleration was wonderful The stock tail keeps up with the brushless torque. I ordred stuff for a DD mod today but my stock tail is effective, however, I am not a 3D guy so I'll leave that for someone who is.

Pictures to follow.

I had chipped my flat blades and I went to my LHS (I think that means hobby store) to go buy new blades and a whole bunch of other parts and they gave me symetrical blades!!! I didnt even notice until I got home. Well I read in a post somewhere in this forum and someone said that symetrical blades are better with hovering..so I didnt return them. I put them on and went out for a little hover time.. There is a big different between the blades big time. Sym blades definintly cut my (stock) battery power in half and it seemed to weigh my BladeCP BIIIGG TIME. I switched back to my chipped flat bottom blades and now my BladeCP is hovering all over the placed. The sym blades are good for hovering but restricts flying. That is with all the stock stuff and no enhancement kit.

Happy Flying!

With a brushless motor the symmetrical blades are really nice, especially in the wind and in forward flight. They are much less prone to the heli pitching up in the wind or FF. They penetrate the wind better too.

Hello Blayde

The symmetrical blades are not intended for use with the stock 9.6v battery and 10 tooth motor. You will deffinately need to increase your pitch using the threaded pitch links to make it work.

Hope that helps

Hi Bladye

Actually it does. I had to cut out some canopy windshield and the motor actually get a direct breeze across the cooling fins. I guess the chili pepper motor is longer than some others but it sure is powerful. I have it and I'm using it! After a 10 minute flight this morning the motor felt jus slightly above warm to the touch.
