Hi guys,

My XTR dongle got stuck on the back of the computer when I was moving it around the house and I inadvertently banged it against the wall, so obviously it stopped working.

I read somewhere that Wolfgang would replace malfunctioning dongles. Does anybody know how to get in contact with him and what the replacement process entitles? Is he a member of RR?

I would also want to know if I could attempt to repair the dongle myself without being penalized by Reflex by doing so. It might be just that the USB connector got unsoldered from the pc board.

Any information will be welcome.

TIA

mine has already broken once before,i decided to open it up and found that one wire had come unsoldered from the board,so i simply soldered it back up.mine is the old dongle, not the new one.i fear it will probably happen again to tell you the truth

well i put tie wraps on either end of the cable to prevent it from being pulled, you can pull it all you want now and it won't come out,you just have to be carefull not to twist the cable, that will break the soldered conection.i will try some heat glue.

Thank you guys!

Took me a while to get to it (I was moving) but it is done. I managed to fix the dongle by resoldering the USB connector back to the circuit board.

Thanks a lot! Now I can enjoy my XTR again. I really missed it!
