The look better than the old blades.
Why didn't they seal the end from the onset?

Those look nice.

I was never happy with the open tips.

I did CA them closed, but they still seemed to split easier when going through the occasional tall grass on the field.

Any price change? Availability? Sizes?

EDIT - never mind, I just visited the website for the above questions.

Yea I agree. I had the CA coming loose with my NHP open tail blades. They seemed good enough in flight, just they came loose with the smallest scrape on the ground (+ on their own when they felt like it!) and they were oh so ugly......

Thanks Kjetil,
Are you using these new tail blades then? Any good? I'm guessing there isn't any significant tail improvement, other than looks and durability.

Hi Krzysiek

I have a couple of sets on order from Revolutionmodels. I can give you more info once I've tried them out. They look good though.

Looks like they make them in 85, 95 and 105mm lengths. You can see it in the link I posted earlier.

Hi Bluethunder

Sounds good to me, I'm going to try the 85mm on the R50. 95mm will be too long I guess when I'm using 600 NHP main blades. I have been using 95mm NHP tail blades that I cut down to about 91-92mm and this setup have been working fine. With those lengths I have about 2mm clearance between the main and the tail blades. We'll see how the new 85mm will be, maybe the new ones with the curved tips are more efficient than the old ones?

The different brands of 600 blades can be somewhat different in lengths as you know. I think the SAB's are slightly shorter than the TT 600 blades but 95mm tail blades might still be a little bit too long. You can push the mains and tails together (when they are mounted on your heli) to see if there is enough clearance though. I can give you some more info when I receive mine and have them mounted in one week or two.

Im running 95mm NHP's with 600mm NHP mains on my rappy 50 at the moment. No issues so far. I would be happier if they made 92mm's anyone from NHP out there reckon there is a chance of this there is deffinetly a market for them on the rappy in that length.

Hi

I gave the 85mm blades a go on the Raptor 50 last weekend and they are really good tail blades. Great finish and they are seriously stiff - solid. The tail felt a little smoother with the new sealed tips, less noise from the tail blades as well. I liked these new 85's on the Raptor and it wasn't much difference in performance from the cut down NHP 92's I used before. I pushed them quite a bit with piro loops, wall of deaths and fast funnels / hurricanes and the tail didn't let go. I run 2100rpm head speed. It also looks like they can take some beating (if the blades would touch the ground).

The 95's are too long on a Raptor 50 with 600mm NHP Razor blades, they do touch (barely).
