Hi All

I have just built a Trex with the complete micro-heli head assembly i have now had three flights and allthough the trex is very stable and flys very nice its docile what i mean is the cyclic response is very slow
Anyone else have this setup that can comment on this
I am not using any expo on the cyclic controlls and all my settings in the transmitter are set to the extreems and the head assembly is set for max control
I did a loop and was lucky to pull out of it

steph,
How much swashplate deflection are you using? About 7 degrees should give you all the control you need unless your bird is overweight.

Gary are you using the micro-heli head assembly the Birds not over weight auw is only 635 grams i think i have around 6 deg cyclic deflection i will try seven if i can get that much but i am on the limits @ 6 deg
I have heard that the x400 paddles are very twitchy but i will try other paddles

I ran the MH head on my 1st, it was anything but docile, are you 100% certain you have the balls on their 3D Position as I recall you could set the balls themselves into beginner or stable mode if you will. If you move the geometry out it should be very very responsive. Also check your swash deflection a deg or two is big.GL

Hi Steph,

Ive had a couple of flights with MH's new head assembly and am very impressed with the cyclic response. Im running the std carbon look alike paddles.

Check to see what cyclic deflection your running as 1-2 degress will make a huge differance to the response. You can also check what head speed the heli is doing and increase it if you want more cyclic.

Cheers

Thanks guys for your imput i am running the sab 320 blades std carbon look alike paddles.
When the micro-heli head assembly came it was preset to the stable mode so i tried this first then i moved everything into 3d mode this improved the response but my standed trex will out perform the micro-heli head my swash settings are 90-90-80 just increased them so now i am over 7 deg i have hovered with these settings but not flown yet too windy and raining
And i am trying to sort out another problem i think its static from the belt as my csm 560 gyro reboots switches off in flight this is not good
