No I don't have one for sale, nor do I have any secret spy photos. I am very curious if anyone here has some inside knowledge on what the downsized version of the 14MZ might be like, as well as the usual when and how much? steve.

Is there really such a thing in the works?

I hope so, I love my 9-C, but would love to get something better ( read faster ) that fixes the CCPM issues. Also 140 degree CCPM would be nice. I really want to convert my X-Spec to an Avant, or get a new Synergy, but I would also like to stay with Futaba. And I am not spending $2K on a radio.

That would not surprise me one little bit. The 14 was actually originally going to be a 12 channel. They added 2 digital ON/OFF channels and a few features and made it the 14. Seems like the 12 actually already exists, all they need to do is bring it to market. I think the push was to get the 14 out. For the US, seems like Toledo is always a good place for new stuff. Although the 14 hit the shows at the Ontario AMA show last year.

No telling. But it should be cool!!!

Most of the recently released upgrade files for the 14MZ were marked "T12MZ" which I think gives some credibility to the rumours.

Supposedly, the 12MZ was supposed to have been initially released in the far east approximately two or three months ago. There was about a month-long period early this past summer when there was a flurry of information about the 12MZ, then it all died down and I've heard nothing more since.

So if the 14MZ was originally a 12MZ why would they not be the same radio. It does not make sense that they would release the same radio with 2 less channels as it would be the same price.

Futaba always runs the equipment in Japan for quite a long time before release in the USA. So far there are no other radio's using G3.

anyone seen Big Foot lately?

That turbo button really heated things up on those systems. It made those 100 mhz systems fly......I didn't always use my turbo button because I wanted to save it for when I really, really needed it. Didn't ever know exactly how much turbo was in there so I was conservative

When I visit the LHS with the intention of buying the 9z WC2, I was told it's end of sales. The LHS asks me to wait for the release of 12MZ.

Anyway, I ended up with a JR 9XII.

but remember that a 14mz here in australia is nearly $3500...

so one with 2 less chanels and about $1000 less would be great

whats the go with JR?
surely they will want to play in this arena too ?

maybe they will keep bringing out all there helis in 140ccpm and make us all spend a fortune on a new radio?

ah!........ the mechanical mixing system cant knock the raptor for that can ya !
not that i own a raptor........ or will again lol.lol
