Hi i'm putting together my 3dpro and was wondering about good place to mount the esc (cc25). Saw a picture where someone extended it into the canopy seems like a good spot is there any better. Better meaning balance glitching etc. I was thinking under the frame between the the rear stork struts.

Mine is on top of the front mount, the front area with the 6 holes in it. Mine was built by this guy and he has a really nice write up/ set up page. Actually mine is the one in the pictures! Anyway the speed controller is on top and my receiver is on the bottom, I have NO glitches from this set up but some other's have.

I had a lot of trouble when I mounted the receiver on top of the mounting bracket with the esc below. The whole thing suddendly went full throttle & I had no Tx control. I trashed the blades & did more damage.
I have used some thin sheet aluminium to shield & mount my RX as far forward I can go, to get the canopy on. My esc I mount vertically behind the motor.
I also have added ferrite core to the esc control lead from the Rx.
Maybe overkill, but I've had no more glitches.
