Hi everyone, I decided to post over here because the first time I viewed some of the photos and video taken by the camera ships I fell in love and knew right then this is somthing I wanted to pursue.
Right now I own and fly a raptor50 v2 and trex v3 cde, so my flying skills are somwhat up to par, not doing the hard 3d yet. Anyway I know you all probably seen and heard this before, and yes I searched but did not find anything that would help me in my quest. I want a complete kit basically a turnkey system to start an aerial business. I'll just be doing stills for now, with plans to get into video in the future. Now I know that I can get a complete system from airfoil but I've seen some not so good posts on here about them, should I just ingnore those, because I know unfortunate things happen somtime.
I also know that helicam offers some good equipment aswell but they dont have turnkey systems which is not what Im looking for, but if it means that I have to buy everything separate then so be it.
All in all I'm looking for the most reliable, best bang for the buck and the quickest and easiest way to get started without the headaches.
Thanks in advance if I have left anything out please let me know, I'm hoping to have some of my work on this site very soon to share with everyone who has helped me.

Which do you have more of, time or money? Are you doing it for fun or profit?

Jody's rigs (HCS) are the most popular by far and great bang for the buck. Most of us got into the AP thing for the love of a challange. I wanted to make a mount that did a good job and succeeded, BUT, the materials and machining costs of my mount are just too much to make it a worthwhile project to share.

Get the HCS, or get a lathe and milling machine and consume hundreds of hours making your own. Just depends how you like to spend your time

These guys really know their stuff, so take lots of notes, I m always reading here, I too am new to AP, I ve been doing it a little with a glow heli, and frankly its pretty much a waste of time doing it with glow, but I was just doing it for fun so far, so it wasn't too bad, but I just got a gasser, looking to make it into a AP ship in the future. Just have to budget for more AP stuff for the bigger bird now. Hope to get there soon. If I had to piece all the stuff together, I would probably get a Preadator Gasser condor, or an Xcell 1005 if you can find one, thats what I just bought, and one of the Helicam mounts for it.

Sorry for the late reply!
Well you see Bungee I have lots of time....less cash. So thats why I'm gonna take up ap. Just for fun for now and to see how the local business people, contractors and realtors like it.
Mind you, some people get all hyper when they see me fly my raptor, only because they've never seen one in action before, let alone see a helicopter with a camera strapped to the bottom. This is going to real fun.

Less money and taking up ap..hmmm contradictory in terms there
Lots of good used stuff avaliable which is how I started, check the classifieds daily. Search and study this forum all the info is here and a wealth of knowlegeable people as well. I fly electrics so I cant help you on the raptor. I would suggest you print out some good aerial pics and run it by a contractor and realtor and see how much interest there is before spending too much money. If you are the only game in town it could be huge and if so, spend the money and time to look pro. I found a friendly real estate agent who was very interested and willing to work with me. I was totally honest and told him this was a new venture, new technology and basically I'm still learning. I did a few jobs at a discounted rate and got his feedback on how to make it better, got some great experience, made lots of mistakes.
Fast fwd 30 days

Today we did a shoot for another client, a refferral of the first guy on world famous Kailua beach Hawaii. 80 degrees, sunny, not a cloud in the sky, $4 mil beach front home, in and out in under an hour with check in hand. Point is, dont be afraid to give a little in the beginning. Good luck and have fun and it IS
