Had a brand new one today that was two minutes into it's first flight and the can separated. Since it happened at the pinion end it pulled the pinion away from the gear resulting in a rapid increase in RPM and a very sudden drop to mother earth. Unfortunately it wasn't in a position to be auto'd so BLAM.

Lots of damage to the new tail, shafts, and my last pair of gray 325 pro blades...grrrrrr. The Rotorworkz G4 frame wasn't damaged at all.

I think Align owes me the replacement parts for this one. This is clearly their fault. There was no locktite at all on the bell.

430L motors

I would think that Align has some kind of warranty or policy to that effect.
I too have a 430L motor which looks really nice. I have used it a few times indoors and it has alot of power. I am saving it for my CCPM frame once I buy one.

Currently I am using a Neu MH-3500 on 4-cells with a Jazz esc. Excellent combo.

Good luck with Align.

I hate to hear that. I had my first flight yesterday with that motor. I will make sure to keep an eye on it now. Thanks for the info. The funny thing about this post is that I just saw the same thing happen to an E-Flite 370 outrunner. Sorry to here about your heli though

Usually, the cans only seperate after a crash... thats when my align motors seperate.... geez, is this gonna be another align swash/bad glue issue... geez I hope not.... It seems like align is getting a little sloppy these days.....

But Honey, I can't live with just stock.....

bulldogs, I can't really complain. I have times where I go a LONG time between mishaps. It's just been a bad last month or so.

I tried to take mine apart and JB weld it like I did with the 420lf, but I couldn't get the end to pop off like the 420 did. I tapped the spindle with a mallet but it wouldn't pop apart. Hoping pop apart in flight.

Better check your mags as hitting the shaft with a mallet will break them against the ends

The world is round you can run but you will always end up where you started from

I took the Red Loctite and locked the bottom of the can onto the can. That was about 2 months ago, and no problem so far.
