i'm almost sold! but how hard is it to fix any runout on the fanhub/clutch assembly? other then balancing the blades, head and maybe tail blades/hub, which i know how to do, which i have high point balancer and blade balancer, but it's been a long time. what else needs to be looked at or changed in this arf for basic flying?...thank you..

Checking.....

When you order your kit, there is also an optional "nut" that you can order... it is a specially designed nut that pulls down flat....use that and make sure the black washer is not under your prop washer and you will be very close to where you need to be....
I just found out about this about a month or so ago and have since changed out 4 of them for people and it has worked every time....
This is an exceptional flying heli.... so don't be afraid of anything about it.. the instructions are excellent and the support is even better....so pull the "trigger" and have some fun!!!!

If your going to run an OS50 Hyper you will need to pickup a prop washer and woodruff key about $12-15 at most hobby places, I picked up a few at Tower hobbies that came packaged together.

I didn't check runout on either of my Tigers and they were spot on, no vibration. If you build it and after test flying it you notice a bit of a shake you can drop the engine in only a few minutes, with the hyper just take the hi speed needle and retainer out and the hyper will come out without any problem.

If you still want to go the dial indicator route I would suggest checking out Harbor Freight tools, http://www.harborfreight.com. We have a local store here in town and I was able to get a dial indicator, a portable vice and some accessories for under $30. Granted it won't be the best you could buy but it has suited me well.

Yeah it's Todd. He's a really cool guy. He is like our club hobby store. If you need a part he's got. And he's always helping people out. He helped me put my magnets on the fan.
