The owner's manual says to use the supplied charger and charge the fully discharged battery for 2-2.5 hrs or until it gets warm. I charged mine for 3 hrs with no temperature rise. I am now charging for 3 hrs on a timer. What experience do the owners have with the stock charger?

I use a delta-peak charger, set for NiMH cells. (I'm still using the stock NiMH pack on my Blade CP) I charge at a 0.50 ampere rate. Charging takes approximately one hour. The battery is just slightly warmer than room temperature at the completion of charging. Flight time averages 12 to 15 minutes. This evening's fight was slightly longer than 12 minutes, consisting of approximately 1 minute of run time to check/adjust blade tracking, eight minutes of hovering, and about three minutes of popping up and down.

I do the same thing as you bill. Well I charge mine for 2 hrs but sometimes I forget to take it off the charger and the battery charges for over 2.5 hrs and I think twice I've charged my batteries for 5-6 hours. I think I damaged my batteries b/c it seems like I dont get much power in my batteries, but it could also be that my heli isnt properly balanced. I DUUUNNNOO

The purchase and use of a good delta-peak charger is a wise investment in regard to electric powered R/C vehicles. The unit that I use is capable of charging NiCd, NiMH, and Li-Po battery packs.

I've not recommended a specific charger, as there are several on the market that will provide excellent performance.
