Hi,

I broke my engine...I blew a rod... and I need to return it to have it serviced but I cannot, for the life of me, remove the cooling fan. Any suggestions? It is on there SO tight... I'm not sure what to do.

Thanks!

remove the carb and stick a tooth brush in it to stop the crank from turning Never use a piston lock tool will ruin the piston.

Why did it blow a rod? If its not covered by warranty it'll probably be cheaper to replace it (OS37) lol

Anyway, back to the job in hand, remove the carb and insert a toothbrush handle or similar in the hole (Do not use anything to soft or too hard, toothbrush handle seem just right lol), then unscrew the fan
