I just got in from a first flight with my Blade CP and really like it.I bought it at a friend's hobby shop this afternoon. I started timing the flight and landed after 2:30 minutes to make a yaw adjustment and forgot to restart my timer. It sure seemed like a long flight...Maybe 10 -12 minutes? And I was just using the standard 8.4 volt NiMh. I also bought the hop up kit and will eventually start to use my 1500 Mah 11.1v lithiums for duration. I guess I would need to land to allow the motor to cool. It's fun the way it is. I've had a e-lmh,piccolo.eolo,hornet, eco 8 and logo 10. I think this little heli is perfect for front street flying

Update

I just flew a 10 minute flight with the new motor and Kokam 1500's but did not switch to the symmetrical blades yet. Flew really well. Did sorties over the neighbors' yards I am charging the pack now to determine current draw. How long are you lipo guys flying on the stock motor before letting it cool off? I do have the heat sinks installed.

What I plan on doing to help cooling,is cutting some good nickle size holes in the canopy windshield.Should help the cooling a good amount.

I bought one and after the first flight I wanted to return it! I did buy the upgrade motor, blade heatsink kit and had a few Lipolies lying around.
Put it in and I was happy. For what it is ,it's a very nice heli, especially for indoor winter flying and go out to the front yard stuff.
I'm still getting to know it but found the collective pitch was off, I had over 12 degrees positive pitch! I burned out a 9T pinion motor and got another tonight at the LHS. I pulled the 9T pinion off the burned out motor to put on my rather new stock motor with the 10T pinion since they are the same motor.
It's the kind of heli that compared to my other heli's it can't hold a candle to but it has a charm all it's own and want to keep it stock and enjoy it for what it is.
I agree with skypup [HI SkyPup!] that it's the perfect frontyard ,coffeebreak etc, heli!

Hi turbo. Good to see you. I am seriously thinking of doing the ch. 3 board conversion and installing my chili pepper 36kv brushless. I have the compoments. I am wondering if I should leave well enough alone since the stock motors are cheap anyways? What do you think?

Turbo

I have lived in San Antonio for 2 years now. What is winter flying? I can remember that from all my years in Pa. It is suppose to be in the 80's this Saturday and Sunday. They talk about freezing weather here in hours! Like....It will get to 32 for two hours tonight and then be only 68 degrees today !

Skypup,For street flying,or doggy round ups,Try 8th pinion, flat blades
1320LP It will keep in the air for 30min+with breaks every 10min for cooling.sym blades, 9th about 20min.This past weekend I flew FFF for 23 min non stop before the motor smoked , and it was not a new motor!
Do the DD mod and the auto rotate gear, makes it alot of fun. When the motor smoked an 50' I was able to let fall out of the sky for 40' then full top left stick at 10' to slow it down, ended up with a broke a skid

Let me refresh your memory. Being outdoors trying to have fun flying your heli and at the same time trying to ignore the pain of frostbite and the total lack of feeling in your hands+ all your neighbors thinking you forgot to take your medication and have gone off your rocker playing with toys and looking miserable in the cold weather!
San Antonio this time of year is great,,I do miss it.

I did retire my Shogun temporarilly and am Trying a Trex450XL.
Got the blade to fly indoors mainly so I won't worry the neighbors again this winter. As far as going Brushless etc,,I don't know as I just got mine less than a week ago. I wouldn't mind a higher headspeed for sure and I'm all ears as to upgrades [cheap] on this thing!
With the 9T semi blades and 3C lipo I got about 15 to 20 minutes with reststops. Fun little heli.
