Greetings heli enthusiasts,

I found these photos from the EAA Sun 'n Fun that was held in Lakeland, Florida in 2002. I'd forgotten that I had shots of this neat invention.

I do remember that the vendor (from somewhere in Asia) was NOT doing any demo flights.....

Death Trap?

The Controls

Counter-Rotating blades

Has anyone seen such a vehicle in flight?

Looking at the amount of material that is behind the two bolts holding the blade on is enough to make me not want to ride,,,

QUICK! ,,,can someone turn the gravity off for just a second,,,,

I've seen demo flights on video.
Just think "big Blade CX."
It's stable, lightweight, and affordable.
The only thing to worry about is reliability of the quad 2 cycle engines....

I'd want a proven design with years of operating history.

Like Rotorway .

B.J. Schramm the designer and founder of ROTOR WAY also designed the helicycle. If you look at both of them very close I would take a helicycle any day over his old ROTORWAY design less maintenance more power and a turbine that is proven. It is a shaft driven tail over a belt driven tail there is so many differences I will not even get into it. Rotor Way is nice if you need a two seat heli but if I was to go down I would rather take myself and not have to worry about the passenger I would go Helicycle Just about ordered one a year ago but run into to many medical issues.

Its nice to be the Big Dog.

The helicycle reminded me of the old Rotorway Scorpions. They we the first helis Rotorway sold and they were single seaters. Then they came out with the two seater Scorpions.

For those of us who are married, these homebuilt helicopters provide and excellent service.

I've just got to start hinting that I want one, and suddenly the cost, time and risk of my RC heli hobby seems like NOTHING.

So guys, if you're aching to get that new Freya Evo 90 or 14MZ radio and the wife is making a fuss, start making noises about building your own helicopter in the garage. "Look honey, 4 easy payments of $14K and I can fly to work and miss all that traffic".

She'll be calling Heliproz for you....
