I have noticed perusing various galleys that many many people do not use any padding around any of there electronics, why?
Just the vibration alone is detrimental to the electronics not to mention crash protection. The are a couple big name guys that do not use it either.

The "Big Names" can probally afford to throw it in the Sheeter, and buy a new one, or have another one handed to them......

Being a mere mortal, I cant help but to "go with gut feelings" about RC installations.

I use 1/2" foam and at least 1/4 but only if room gets tight
