I certainly wouldn't consider myself and expert yet. In fact i haven't even begun the 3D stuff. I've been flying since early June this year. I can do basic forward flight, loops, rolls, nose-in, and a little inverted (high up). I had a few crashes lately and decided to go back to the basics. I've noticed that I am definately "handed" with certain things. For instance, I am much more confortable turning the heli certain directions. This is such a basic thing. I have been concentrating on all those advanced moves when I should have "Mastered" all the orientations. I want to get to the point where I'm just as comfortable in all the oreintations as I am with basic tail-in.
Yesterday and today I burnt 5 tanks on just the basics. Coming back after that last crash had me very nervous for my first tank. As I worked on some tight circuits (in varied directions) and some nose-in, side-in hovering I felt my confidence raise again.

Flying is alot like a jigsaw puzzle. You can work on whatever area you want, but untill you fill in all the blanks, the picture is not complete.
