Anyone used the new FlightPower Evo 20 (20c discharge) 3s1p 1800 mAh pack in their Trex? Will the pack fit inside the stock canopy? Good performance?

The pack itself is 106 mm long but has a width of just 30mm.

Thanks

Rich

Yeah Evo 20 1800mah 20c fits like a glove and is rumoured to be a pretty pukka pack. I myself are building a T-Rex atm. Just installing the electrics, hoping to get some indoor hovering in about a week or so. Would like to get my mits on a battery tray though for a little extra support for the hard landings which are gonna come in abundance I think.

..

well i'm getting 4 of the 1320 EVO20's for my 6s setup. from what i understand they should be about as good as you can get on this battery market right now.

they use Enerland cells (best lipo cells available on market right now according to those 'in the know') and they have solid 'quality' of assembling the cells into 'batteries' at Flightpower from what i undestand.

same cells as used by Polyquest XP (again from what i was told) and those are pretty much recognized as quality batteries.

so if you can fit 'em, and get your hands on them, then get 'em.

according to Duralite batteries in Florida (only dealer in U.S. that is carrying them so far that i know of)... they will come available at Duralite on Dec. 1... and the supply is going to be limited, first come-first serve.

let us know how you like them and how they perform if you can get your hands on them sooner (since you're in UK).

fitment--- just measure you frame space if you already know the dimenions of the battery--- but definately should put a CF tray extension so that a nose-first impact doesn't 'Smash' in the battery nose... i destroyed a longer TanicTap 2220 battery that way. 100ft nose dive straight into pavement. it takes a fairly severe impact to damage a battery like this (the plastic trexy canopy does a really nice impact absorbtion job in most cases-- except the hardest ones ).

Good Day: crashed thx to dumb thumbs. Bad Day: crashed mechanical malfunction. Every Day: CRASH :)

I saw their add and looked at their web page. I thought the prices looked too good to be true. $35 for a 1800 MAH that fits a Trex. Wow!
Then I noticed that it was pounds not dollars.
