Well, Im looking for a good motor for 3D. Nothing fancy, Im still not very good at it. I was thinking of astro. Not many people here on RR are using it, but I have heard only good opinions: It seems to have decent power, it gives good flight times and it doesnt get hot.

But now Align has released the new motor. It looks preety good and the price is much better.

So which one would you choose?
BTW Im going to use it with 2100mah 3s pack.

Well,
my first three trexe's have the Astro 803 and initially I was very happy with them. The fourth trex got a Mega 16/15/3 and it was a lot of heli!
After I got used to that much performance I became dissapointed with the Astro 803, until...................

....I went to 4s.

Wow! Headspeed must be 3000. Need to measure and also upgrade BEC to something more durable. I still think the 803 is a very good choice, because you can boost it when you are ready for more power.
