I've been looking at getting G3. However, after downloading the XTR demo, I was incredibly impressed with XTR. The XTR demo is much better than the G3 videos that are on their site.

Does G3 have a demo available?

I bought XTR from from their web site and the cost was a lot more than if I bought it here in the states. The US dollar is worth less than the EURO. The only thing about XTR is you have to use your TX, then make sure its charged so you can go fly. I have another TX that I use for the sim. Its probably not as user friendly as the G3 but after tweaking it and understanding what you need to change its an excellant sim. I've not seen the graphics for the G3 so I can't compare but the XTR graphics put the G2 to shame.

1 Euro = 1.17500 U.S. dollars

With the new photo fields update I would say G3 is comparable to XTR. I don't own XTR, But have flown it at the LHS. plus with G3 you have multiplayer online. The only advantage I see that XTR has is you can create you own aircraft, but the guys at knife edge are working on this as we speak.

Are the helis as realistic in G3? The one nice thing about Reflex is the availability of helis - all of the Hirobos are there, some Raptors. G3 doesn't have any of those, do they?

There is a R30 and a R60 in the Add Ons Volume Three. There are several Raptors that can be downloaded from "http://rcsim.de/" for the XTR none for the G3.

You can however change the engine, rotor blades , Weight, etc. and make one either the r30 or r60 fly like a 90 it just won't be the physical size of a 90. This will be corrected when they release the aircraft creator/editor.

On rcsim.de there are 10 pages of helis that can be downloaded, there are Raptor 30s, 50s, 60s and 90s. You can change some of the items you mentioned like the weight but haven't really payed that much attention to makeing changes, I'm just trying to get it set up so it flies more like my heli. Go to the site http:\\rcsim.de and click on downloads, then choose Reflex you will see more than you could ever need.
