Hi all,

I need to replace the momentary (trainer) switch on my Futaba 8U.

Do you know if the Futaba replacement switch arrives with the board or without?

Also, what is the function of the board? mechanical? debouncing?

Thanks, Mike.

The switch comes without the ckt board. Just solder lugs that go into holes on the board.
Nobody knows why Futaba went with a circuit board to connect the switches to the Tx wires.

fritzthecat,

Thanks for the answer. I ended up being cheap and salvaging a spring switch from Futaba 4NBF I use with my sim (ClearView). As an added bonus, it is shorter so I'm less likely to break it again

I also found out why futaba uses the circuit boards. Each switch has two busses going to it and only one wire is needed per switch to determine it's state. This design actually reduces parts count and probably internal RF noise (less wires). But it sure is painful to replace a switch.
