I am starting to look at the ion-x as my next heli, what is the opinion of everyone for the motor and esc setup.

Thanks

These days there are many motor/esc combos that will work. It would be easier to give advice if we knew what it is that you want from the heli?

That makes sense, SS.

I am not into 3D flying, not yet anyways, I am doing just the basic hover flights, moving into forward flight. But I would like to build it for future use as well, hopefully getting into 3D moves. I dont know what would be better, more power or more torque. I wont be lifting anything with it, so I'm assuming not so much power but maybe torque.

dont know if that helps out any or not

Cheers

Curtis

I guess my recommendation would be either the Neu 1515-2Y geared around 21 to 22:1 or maybe the Neu 1521-1.5Y geared similarly for a bit more performance in the future. Both of these motors run cool and efficient and should last a long time.
