To the best of my knowledge lipos don't lose charges like Ni batteries. Also LIpos are very similar to Lithium Ion batteries that are used in our cell phones (if your phone still use NiMH, I don't know what to say). I think it is okay to keep them charged most times. It's too much hustle to keep them half charged.

Just my 2 Cents.

3D Pro? I have only "1D" under my belt, what am I going to do with "3D"?

admittedly i'm no expert on batteries. but, posts like RobT's are pretty much the norm in the battery discussion forum.

i'm sure you're not going to kill your battery overnight by storing it charged for a long period. but, with what these things cost i'll be better safe than sorry.

if it ain't broke, break it.

Cuda, thank you for the lead. Very interesting readings. I am thinking I rather have the garbage truck caught on fire than my house. I have not disposed any lipos yet. I think there is a battery recycle bin at work and I will just throw my bad Li-pos in there.

By the way I don't think I have read any where in that post about why can't I store the Lipos fully charged. But with all the horror stories told about lipos I feel like to buy a little firesafe case and keeping all the Lipos in there. I know those cases are fire resistant from the outside-in. Are they safe from the inside-out?

RobT didnt really go into it deeply on that post. but, his 2nd sentence just said that the aging effect was less when stored at 50%. i know i've read the 'why that is' in a post somewhere. but, i've got an arm load of baby right now. takes forever to type this way

if it ain't broke, break it.

Thanks Cuda, Point well taken. Will try to remember keep them at 50% charge when stored.

Your 3d pro CF blades should be sitting in my mail box. If I got them today will deliver them along w/ your PT Pack to you tomorrow to a place close to your work. See you then
