To mod a heli motor his "deal" through MA requires that the motor go through MA's hands to get to Al. HOWEVER, if you need customer support, Al is available at the number above.

And for the record, Hanson's got nothing on Toxic and his customer service...IF YOU DEAL WITH HIM DIRECTLY...is 2nd to none.

i've been on the net since it's inception, started on newsgroups, then mailing lists, then web forums related to my hobbies and I find it interesting how volitile the communication gets and yet when you get off the computer and actually meet these people, most tend to keep their mouth shut.

Fact is, competition is good for the consumer. While the physics of how a helicopter works haven't changed since their inception, the implementation has progressed.

John Beech's direct advertising campaign might not be ruffling any feathers at Hirobo, Kyosho or TT right now. He's small potatoes for now. I doubt that the other Big-3 are dashing to the CAD machine with Hashimoto or Alan Szabo in the room to get working on the next major revision for their respective helis to stay competitive.

It's seldom in the world of the consumer that you get more then you pay for, but it does seem that with Audacity Models, you get a rc heli and a human being who is responsive to your personal concerns and ideas. You just can't put a price on that.

When the other heli manufactures are willing to interact with the end consumer, then I might be more compelled to buy and stick with their products.

The people crying foul over the Tiger 50 ads sound like a bunch of babies.

Yes the ads are provoking... they are purposely meant to be and John, with all his wisdom, has taken total advantage of the free advertisement he is getting here because of it. Keep nailing the Tiger and you will continue to give him opportunities to further his points.

You guys are blind. On the business side, you do what it takes to sell your product... to spread the word about it's advantages.. you don't advertise it's weaknesses but you do expose your competitions weaknesses.

Guys... this is standard business practice... get the f over it cause it's making me sick to see grown ups act like babies.

It would be cool though to be able to purchase one of these, whether it be a Raptor, Tiger, Hirobo.. and not have to think about what is the weakness out of the box that might lead to a crash. They all seem to have that one thing that is a must do.

Only 1000 or so.....I think Thuder tiger sold that many in a month in the early days of the Raptor craze
correct ... in the early days when there wasn't any 50 size competition and they paid heck with the V1 didn't they enough so that they had to release a V2
. ....and even then most didnt have to call the manufacturer.
Nor did they have a means of contacting the owner or still do for that matter.

My point is we CAN contact John and the amazing thing is he listens and does something about it.
