Thanx rcfan!

I feel myself "little bit" missleaded... Official Japan Futaba site has a link to flyers club. And all the advertisement fliers mention the flyers club... Noone told it will not be for everyone buying the gear. You seem to be entitled to access only if you happen to live at Americas...

Luckily there is some fellow flyers with a big heart

BR,
Ilkka

Again I ask, how do you get registered on Futaba's sight? I must be missing something...

Hobbico, who run the Flyers Club site and provide tech support for the US registers you automatically when you send in the Futaba Flyers Club form that's included in radios sold in the US. If you've sent that in and still have not received an email, try sending them email at: hobbyservices@hobbico.com. If that still doesn't get you anywhere, go to the official Futaba support forum at: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/forumid_125/tt.htm

Found this over at the FFC site (see quote). I've mucked around with Condition copies after the update and haven't stumbled on this problem. Glad to know Hobbico/Futaba are on top of things!

Post subject: 14 MZ Software Pulled

We have temporarily suspended the ability of anyone to download the Futaba 14MZ update software.

A minor difficulty has been discovered in the latest update release for the 14MZ software. This difficulty only affects the "Copy" function in the "Condition" menu. When copying certain conditions, the transmitter freezes and displays an odd screen. Turning the transmitter off, then on, clears the screen and allows the transmitter to operate.

This in no way affects any model programs already stored in the transmitter and does not affect flight control in any way. Your transmitter is safe to fly.

We have been advised by Futaba, Japan that a fix for this will be available in a few days.

If you recently sent your transmitter to us to perform the update, please let us know so that we can arrange to have the new update installed.

Updates ...

You know, with my PC, I'm ok with grabbing an update immediately after release - but with my $3000+ heli, I might just wait and see a few months how the update performs with you guys as the guinea pigs... heh

I still haven't been able to reproduce whatever problem is being claimed in the announcement. The patch has worked great on my two radios thus far.

It's only on *new* models you add to the radio.

As of today, the patch has been tested and appears to solve the aformentioned issue. You should see it come available in the next few days.

You can call it "tolerance" its the position that isn't off or on state. It helps to prevent repeating commands if you wiggle the sticks.

Here's the response from Hobbico support:
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_3738444/tm.htm

I made hysteresis 0 and response 1 for all my controls.

Does anyone know about the Hovering Trim in Norm or CTRM mode working with the Curve whlie use adjusting the knob? I cannot see the Pitch or Thottle Curve moving while I did the Trim.

Also, in updated Software, will the Angle is fixed as High at +10 and low at -10 and cannot be changed like +12 to -9?

Thanks

Vicky

You have to change the Display button (near bottom left corner in Thr. Curve screen) to Tune.

For the Angle, yes you can adjust them, just make sure the pitch gimbal is at low position to set negative pitch and at high for positive. It sure would have been nice if the Angle buttons for high, center, low properly highlighted depending on pitch gimbal position instead of having to manually press each and also move the gimbal ...
