Managed to fit mine today, feels so much smoother than the TT unit.

Hopefully will manage to try it out tomorrow, weather permitting of course

Ryan.

Anyone installed one on an SE yet?

Can't move the lower bearing block up to take the play out of the mainshaft with the unit installed. Unfortunately the SE doesnt have slots in the frames so the bearing block can be adjusted.

Guess its a case of filing the some slots in the frames or shimming up the main gear.

Make sure you didn't install the main gear upside down. I know that if you are using a 91 tooth main gear the small teets should be facing upward. Here is a picture to help. Notice the small gap between the auto hub and the main gear.....I think on the production models Quick UK has provided a spacer to eliminate this gap.....The spacer should be on the top side. Let us know if this was the problem.

Hi Greg

I'm using the white 91T gear but the gear is definately installed the right way up. I'm also using the spacer provided which sits between the top of the main gear and hub.

Interested to know if anyone else is having the same problem, if not I've definately got something wrong!

Mines on a SE, and there is no play at all

I have thought before I had play there, pulling/pushing on the head I could see movement and also hear a clunk, but ended up that the head clamp needed tightening up

Is good to hear yours is ok on an SE, hopefully I've just got something else wrong.

Mine is definately up and down main shaft play and not a loose rotor hub though, had my hopes up for a second.

How much play up and down ?

Have you changed or removed the bearing blocks ? could they be upside down ?

Ryan.

Probably only about 1 mm of play. Thought I might have a bearing block upside down as well but they're both fine.

One more try

What about the collar that is underneath the top bearing, could this have worn a little and maybe benefit from being turned up the other way ???

Ryan.

Sounds like it could be possible although there was no play before I fitted the new hub. Will look into it!

Cheers

I put one on my SE, and ended up with no play.
