Manual has been reduced to a more manageable 8MB.

Guys,

Vibe is now mechanically complete and eagerly awaiting some radio gear.

Kit quality was top notch and had no issues at all during assembly.

Has taken me about 6 hours from kit to mechanics.. just got some ball joints left to do..

More pictures at:

Cheers

Hi Mark (RotorSoft)

One of the guys in another forum told me the CS is prone to flexing the crown gear for the tail. Do you know if the problem has been fixed in the vibe?

I see you make a Crown Support for the CS to fix the problem.

Hi,

Yes the vibe now comes with the same part as I sold aftermarket for the Vigor to stop this flex.

Cheers

Hi Mark,
I notice you have a set of Radix blades mounted on the Vibe, have you tried these baldes on another heli before ? If so any thoughts/opinions on them ?

(presume they are the 710's)

Thanks.

Ryan.

Dokey,

I have flown the Radix blades on the Vibe, Raptor 90, Evo 50 and Fury Extreme. I really like them. They will perform GREAT and NOT load your motor as much as some other blades do.

I am POSITIVE that you will like them!

Dokey,

I haven't run the Radix blades yet.. but am eager to do so. Will report back as soon as I get them in the air.

One think I'll be interested to see is how they hover on a windy day.. there are lots of good blades out there but the majority suck when it comes to holding a steady hover in the wind.. I'll be using the Vibe for 3D and experimenting with it for the new F3C schedule so will need them to have very good height control.. time will tell..

atvracer,

The plastic gearbox is supposed to have been strengthened over the Vigor one so I will give it a go for the moment.. also I've just sold my last 2 metal tail gearboxes so can't change it until I get them back in stock!

Cheers

Douglas,

Yes the bearing is bigger. I brought that up as one of the points earlier in this thread, and infact, there is a picture of the new clutch and bearing on my website.. really I should have taken a photo of it next to the old one for comparison.. but I was too busy building

Cheers

Mark,

One of the days that I flew the Vibe with Radix blades on it, the winds were between 15 - 30 mph. They would hold a very steady hover and pull against they wind very nice. I am sure you have a lot more flights under your belt than I do, so please let us know how your tests go.

The vibe can be setup as either 120 or 140 ccpm.

Download the manual from http://www.macgregor.co.uk/helicopters/vibe.htm
It has a good description.

Basically it positions the swash balls an equal distance from the mainshaft so that that the elevator servo and two aileron/pitch servos all move the same distance.
On normal 120 ccpm the elevator servo only moves half as much which can be a cause for interaction.

Hey folks thank you!!

I'll try to post results and impressions from initial flight tomorrow or tuesday depending on weather, but hey, this is a much improved Vigor CS so it must fly great!!

If you guys need any specific detail/view/photo .... whatever, just let me know. I'm glad to be of any help to RR members since I've always received and it's time to give back.

Cheers,
FG
