Good thing the Hawk Pro is complete and needs no upgrades, at all, ever.

Oh crap. I was sarcastic again.

Sorry.

Nothing to do with the beers I had tonite. Honest.

As always, not a question of "needs" but of preferences. From what I hear on some other manufacturers machines the additions are more needs as opposed to extras.

Jack Skip, mine doesen't need any upgrades.

So BC, you’re pretty much going to have a new helicopter with a few upgrades to boot. Except for the anti-rotation bracket and my special 575 blades, mine is “box stock”. My goal is to get one hundred flights on it before doing any up grades, if any. And I just want to see how it all wears. One of the main reasons I got the Hawk Pro is to keep the cost down too.

About starting, I’ve tried to make it a habit to release the start button and be sure the engine is driving it before designating. Hopefully I won’t break a fan.

…And the TOKI runs again!

Just an update. Yep, I started it up this evening. Ran it slobbery rich on the first tank, just on the ground. On the second tank, lean it just a bit. Toward the end I actually put in a hover a few times then throttled it back down. I think it’s ready for longer hovers now but the wind was a little gusty in my front yard and I wasn’t going to push it. It runs very smooth and definitely quieter. Doesn’t seem to have that little rattling sound it use to have either.

Yup, I'm getting a new Hawk Pro and I'm getting a few upgrades. One of the reasons I'm getting the upgrades (as week as it is) is that then the flybar and axle and will be the same size between the Hawk Pro and my Raven.

I'll be running the Hawk Pro with 3D paddles without weights and running fiberglass blades (until the first crash anyway). I have the anti-rotation bracket as well and a Header Tank.

Boy, 100 flights without crashing. I hope to sometime get to that level. Not sure I'm even at that level with my planks. I keep pushing the envelope and it pushes back.

Hey BC no special level, just real cautious.

Just update on my better than new TOKI, the weather finally warmed up, the wind settled down and I was able to put my H-Pro back in the air. The new TOKI has five tanks of fuel, through it now, and its running great. Running quite rich still but OK to hover and do a little forward flight. After the last flight the BP-Temp was 98 degrees and the Head Temp was 135 degrees. Nothing’s getting hurt, and I’ll burn about a gallon breaking it in.

Thanks guys for all your help
