I have a Throttle Jockey Pro on an Evo .50 with the standard O.S. 50 engine.
When I switch from idle up 1 or 2 back to normal mode while in the air, the engine races until I land and lower the throttle stick then it idles back down and seems to behave normally.
What is going on?

I have the gov. settings in the Futaba 9CHP Super set at 0 for normal, 58 for idle up 1 and around 80 in idle up 2.

It seems to work great any other time or in the separate flight conditions. Only does it when switching back to normal mode when the throttle stick is up above 1/4 or so.

Anyone know what is going on with this?

Is the governor engaged in NORMAL mode? When the governor is off, you are flying on your throttle curve. If the motor overspeeds when off the governor, and on the curve, what do you suppose you need to do to solve the problem?

check your settings

on the 9chp the off setting for the governor is 50, not 0.
