I was putting together my rappy and 1005 gasser at the same time. I have had the tail come undone in flight on the xcell because the epoxy didnt hold. Would it be ok to put a screw through the end to make sure it doesnt fall out like the rappy has been done? Is there any danger to locking in the tubes on both ends like this?>

Thanks
Cody

If you mean the dual boom supports use the 24 hour JB Weld, clean and rough up the ends, then clean again, and JB. Chris

Airdodger is spot on,

I had a similar occurance with regular epoxy. I now only use the slow set JB Weld, never had a problem since.

Work sucks!!

JB Weld works very well. It is important to thoroughly clean all parts and roughen up the ID's of the carbon tube with sandpaper.

High quality CA, like Zap products (and especially their hi stress formula), also bonds aggressively to the carbon and threaded insert, but the JB Weld gives you plenty of time to reposition the parts.

Avoid using JB Quick. It's bond strength is far less than the slow cure product.
