We were discussing insanity and competence in my crim law class last night (ugg I'm glad I'm almost done with this masters) and the lawyer teaching the class made reference to "chinese trumpet tea" evidently it messes with your mind....I've never heard of this crap before....anyone got the lowdown on it? (just wondering for my info....if it was truly important I would have formally looked it up)

Where I grew up in Puerto Rico, there are people that say that a type of flower, when boiled in a tea fashion will give you a high, when you drink the tea. The problem is that depending on the strength of the tea or the way you made it, you could stay on the trip.....

Coincidently, the flower looks like a trumpet, it hangs upside down because it is heavy for the stem to support it. It is white combined with some other colors, If I remember correctly Blue and orange were common colors. The flower is about 4 - 6 inches long.

Are we talking about the same thing?

Looks like it is a part of the Morning Glory family. Many of those type of plants are classified as highly poisonous and highly hallucinogenic.

In High desert of Southern California, there is a commonly grown cousin of the morning glory called Gymsum Weed (sp?). Some tests have been done on subjects after consuming seeds from pods grown on this bush.

While monitored, 2 subjects having consumed seeds at same time form a telepathic bond and are able to communicate with eachother. I saw one of these tests and the 2 people never said a word, but but spoke telepathecially for 30 + minutes and each was able to comprehend what the other said.

The 2 people also showed slight swelling and bright redness of the skin. They also shyowed great frustration when they would telepathically speak to the wall, but the wall would not talk back.
