You shouldnt leave any gas on the tanks.
why not? whats the different betveen a Fuel tank and a fuel can??

Not because it's dangerous but because that fuel looses it's properties.

It goes off due to contact with the air. Also being hydroscopic, it soaks up moisture. It will probably also have been contaminated by the exhaust gasses from the pressure feed, so will cause your clunk lines to deteriorate.

You are right on target Guy Martin,

That's it.
In a fuel can it's perfect air tight.
Try leaving a fuel can open for a few days. You notice a color change.
Fuel starts to loose it's alcohol and you get more oil that alcohol.
Then you realy will notice in your engine power!
