Some people have all the nutz! Lemme explain.....I purchased a 1/5 scale T-28B in the Navy paint scheme. I got it from the local r/c swap meet about 4 weeks ago. It had major damage on the right wing and was in need of some real TLC. I got it home and replaced the engine (which had a broken piston) and worked evenings to repair the wing.

I fly off of a grass strip, that is no good for retracts, especially on a big heavy plane. So I put it for sale on here and R/C Universe. I got an email today, from a guy to call him about the plane. I did so, and nothing could prepare me for the conversation I was about to have! The guy on the other end was the one who sold it to me. He explained that he would rather I wouldn't mention who I bought this plane from. This made me somewhat speechless. On further prying, I learned he had sold this same plane to a fellow in Houston. He said that it had been a couple of months since he had paid, so he decided to go fly the sold plane. Well the engine gave out on him, he hit a fence post and ripped the wing off. He told me he didn't expect me to repair the plane and then put it back for sale.

First I can't believe the guy had the ballz to sell the same plane twice, second even bigger nads to call me and tell me about it.

Now I told Patrick that I wouldn't give his name out. As the Houston area is small and the r/c community is tight. If anyone knows the guy who got reamed on this deal, pm me and I may have some info for him.

The best I can tell, the guy is just an idiot. No morals, and not enough sense to have the foresight to see this kind of crap WILL catch up with him. I figure someone will whoop the crap out of him before it's over with!

OOPS!! Did I say Patrick?? My bad, must have slipped

Unphuckingreal.......can't believe this. George I was looking at that plane with you and the guy was feeding us all kinds of crap. How great it flew and how great it was at aerobatics. Should have known something was up when he virtually gave the plane away

****UPDATE****
I sold the T-28 last monday. The guy flew his Saratoga in, from Arizona, to pick it up. As soon as he got off the airplane he asked how I got it. I told him that I had purchased it from a swap meet here in Waco. Well, turns out, he had already paid Patrick for this plane. So Patrick had once again lied to me. The guy was not from Houston, he was from Az.
So, we spent the day driving Gary around, looking for Patrick. As luck would have it, he was nowhere to be found. As Gary (the guy who bought the plane) was loading the plane in his Piper, one of his last comments was " so this is what a $1400.00 plane looks like". (he had already paid Patrick $750.00, and then gave me $700.00 more). I feel real bad about the guy getting screwed like that. I do however look forward to seeing Patricks face when Gary shows up on his doorstep.

You ever stop to think that Patrick has sold the plane to more than one person ????

I would bet he has!!! & I'm sure the $1400 plank is really like $2800 ???
You will never see patric again!!!

HE GOT HIS!!!
I heard from the LHS owner that Patrick was served with some papers from our local police. From what I understand, he had to pay back the money to Gary.
When Gary called, he said Patrick called him and asked if he could pay it out. Gary told him to stick it in his arse! He wanted full payment.

I love it when justice really works.
