I'm running a CC35 with a Mega 16/15/3 and a ferrite ring for the ESC wire on my TRex, but so far NO cutouts. I'm also eager to hear what Castle Creations said about this in case my bird comes down with the same disease!

unfortunately this was a long long long story but I've shortened it up big time.

throttle hiccups or complete cutouts

ok, so I had the align 35 esc and their 420L brushless motor, had the big throttle cut glitch, swapped the esc, had the same problem, swapped the motor, same problem, swapped the esc with a phoenix 25, and 45 same problem (actually more problems with the latest software - went back to the last non beta and lots of problems went away), still glitches, swapped the receiver (electron 6), same problem, changed gyros, same problem.

I talked to a local micro heli king supreme and I gotta give him credit - I told him my dilemma and he said - dood get this futaba single conversion pcm micro receiver and your problems will go away.

I did, they did.

I've had about a dozen flights now and only one single glitch - I was having glitches every few seconds before. I think this is a good fix !!

Hi All,

I'm still having the glitch problem. I have 3 birds, shogun, 3dpro, and h-bird FP.

I'm running quality rx's; berg, seeker6, and seeker6 respectivly. I'm also running; CC35, CC35, and CC10 respectively.

The only bird that has a problem is the h-bird FP. It glitches very briefly and comes right back.

Of note, I fly this bird inside in the basement, the other two outside. Inside there are flourescent lignts, furnace etc. I've now tried a ferrite choke which has seemed to help, 1 glitch in 3 battery runs.

I don't think this is a rx problem, for me, but I'm a little confused as to what is going on here.

Cheers,
Leslie

Guys, look at this thread that's over a year ago for some additional information:

Bottom line, as others have pointed out, is that a PCM RX will cure the problem. Been putting PCM RX's in my helis ever since. But it still bothers me that a long-term underlying problem exists...

Supposedly the Jazz ESC does not have cut out issues so I'm going to try it in the Trex SE.

Andy,

Did you ever solve your glitching problem? I bought a ferret for my TRex but he gets upset when I wrap the wires around him.
