Just wondering if someone could suggest a muffler.
I have the TT 50 size which comes with Raptor V2 kit, will it do the job? should I be looking at zimmy or hatori? if so, I am a bit confuesed about the exact models.
I am using a OS 50 Non Hyper
Thanks in advance.

If you wait a few days, Audacity should have there new one out. John has been working on a new design that sounds pretty good.

I'm running a Revolution 50 size on my OS Hyper 50, 30% CY.
Has all the power I'll ever need, and it's pretty quiet too.

Just remember -- if the world didn't suck, we would fall off.

Muffler Choices..

I am running the MPll quite pipe... low ratio and it is fine on both my standard OS and my Hyper.....
The standard muffler that you have will really restrict the performance.... one of our members went from it to a new Hatori and it was like a new engine.....

Good Luck, Stan

Hey Doorman,
Which particular Hatori is it? Is it the one that fits the raptor?

The new ProMuffler PDR-0053 is now shipping. Well suited for the OS 50 SX Hyper class of engines (yes, it works well with the standard 50 SX and others with the OS exhaust flange mounting pattern). Best of all, it fits not just the Tiger, but also the Raptor, Raven, and the EVO . . . and since it's bi-directional, i.ei it fits either the left or right hand side of a helicopter (depending on engine orientation) because the pressure tap can be fitted to either side! What's more, this is a true 50-class muffler, not a 46-size or a 60-size re-package job.

I installed a SB 50 Hatori muffler on mine and love it......It is quiet, a lot of back pressure and it gave the engine little more power.......Money well spent on this one even though it's a little pricy......

If anyone has bought Audacity's muffler, please let us know how you like it. I'm considering it for the Hyper, but want to make sure it's not too loud for where I fly. I guess as far as loudness goes, how does it compare to stock?

must have been a downdraft

I have one, it is about the same sound level as the TT muffler. I am using a standard os 50.

I have one, got it last week.
I installed it on my Raptor 50 with a 60B carburator. So far, with only a few flights on it, it seems comparable to the MP2 I have on my 2nd raptor that has a stock hyper. Very nice finish, I'll try and get a picture up. BTW, Jbeech was VERY nice to deal with, and prompty answered specific questions I had, in very revealling depth.
