I noticed this morning, while flying my Caliber 30, with a Jr. 500T gyro, in 34 degree temps., there was noticeable drifting, and twitching of the tail,The servos also seemed sluggish,The battery was also fully charged, when I landed the heli, it was covered in a light film of moisture. It was also very damp, and foggy , and frost was covering the flying field., Is this normal, for the heli to react to these temperature difference's?, Thanks!, for any info from you cold weather flyers

i know some gyros can have problems with cold temps but if all your servos were sluggish id check your rx batt as the cold can reduced power it can put out, also check your links as it could be down to them binding with oil from exhaust fumes etc and then all stiffening up with the cold, which draws even more power from your rx batt .hope this helps.

Belt tension?

Alu tailbooms shrinks when it gets colder outside.

shrinking aluminum

You are correct mrnoodles, so if you adjust belt tension in the cold remember that the aluminum will expand when you bring into the warm car or house.
