I'm in the process of rebuilding a crashed gasser that I bought. I've got it almost complete but I just noticed a possible problem with the swashplate.
When I rotate the main shaft the swashplate wobbles. If the front ball is 12oclock then the plate rises cockwise as the shaft rotates, 12 high, 3 high, 6high, 9high and back to 12. I have all linkages disconnected, except for the anti rotation link.

Thisis a new mainshaft and I checked it before installing it, it's straight. Can the swashplate be warped? I have a spare with my metal head that I can put on but I just wanted t make sure I was heading in the right direction.

Thanks

i think would hook up the lower three linkages, and see what it does. is it the inner part or the outter part of the swash plate? it hard to tell with out a pic.

I changed the swashplate and it's tracking ok now. When I had the other linkages connected it would cause my cyclic and collective to move as the shaft was rotated. The faulty swashplate was in a crash so I am going to assume that something is bent.
Looks good now though
