I have a Zoom electric helicopter that I bought "ready to fly" and in the process of figureing out the radio have totaly screwed up my throttle and pitch curves. Was hoping someone out there could give me a good starting point the get airborne again.
I have a Raptor 30 That I have been learning on and got this electric so I could fly inside during the bad weather. It seems as though the Zoom was very hard to hover/ control right out of the box, it wanted to just keep climbing. As soon as I would back down on the throttle (very slightly) it would fall straight back down. I was stupid and didn't write down the throttle and pitch curve numbers before I started screwing with them so I brought this whole problem on myself, but would greatly welcome any help.

The copter is a zoom 400 , with a Hitec Optic 6 Transmitter, I don't have it here in front of me so I cann't give alot of other info about it, but will later if someone needs more info about it to help.

Thanks in advance

Try and do some reading so you actually understand how throttle/pitch curves work. Just following a "procedure" won't help you in the long run.

That said, you should set the pitch curve to go from -8 to +8 degrees, with 0 in the center. This can be for all flight modes, though many dampen the negative in normal mode to -4ish.

The throttle curve is a little different, depending on which motor you have. You'll have to play with it to get the head speed you want, but the important thing is to keep the speed constant throughout your pitch range. My 3600kv motor with a 9t pinion will run wide open in idle up, but others like the 400DH need more of a "V" shape.

The sky is our canvas
