After replacing all the bearings in my Vigor Std., I noticed that the swashplate didn't seem to turn very smooth. I removed the 4 set screws from the swashplate and then everything was real smooth. I can put the set screws in but I cannot tighten them up much, as it seems to cause the swashplate to feel tight.

Is this normal, if so how tight should the set screws be ? It doesn't appear that the swashplate can come apart if the setscrews are not cranked down.

Thanks!
Duane

Yes. The set screws are used for wear/slop adjustments. Adjust set screws until slight bind and then backout each slightly until free.

Hope this helps,

George

It did help. I flew the Vigor today, and everything went quite well considering the overhaul I did on it.

I kinda' thought that was all the set screws did...

Thanks!
