Hello

I'm setting up my first nitro (Venture CP 30) and haven't got a clue how to set the radio up. Well maybe just a clue (GRIN). The Venture manual
doesn't list my JR6102 but has several other models. Would one of these be about the same? If not do you have by chance your setup sheet filled out and available for down load? I realize it would be time consuming to sit here and enter all the information in manually.

I've been hovering my TREX and have at least the basic tail in control. It's been a handful for me even with the setup being as mild as can be. After reading your posts here I felt the Venture would be a great first heli. Even though the other guys at my club are nose-up when they see it. They are all Raptor and Caliber freeks. Nothing wrong with that except they think I should have the same. While they are nice machines I wanted something different and more to the trainer side. I'm really not looking to do 3D, pattern and scale flight has always been my thing in the fixed wing world.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated so thanks in advance.

Ed

Ed,

The 6102 should pretty close to the setup listed for the 652. The menu sequence will be a bit different but the numbers should be pretty close.

Thanks Ralph

I ended up using common settings in the manual from each radio model. Being all JR models I think it gave me a pretty good setup to start with. At least I hope so......hahaha

Glad you got it worked out....enjoy the Venture it's a nice heli to get started with.

Keep an close eye on the dampers for the landing gear...they have an ugly tendency to shear at the halfway point which can make landings a wee bit tricky . Also, if you run into blade tracking issues, the quick fix is a set of Ergo blade grips and KSJ thrust bearings. That was all I did to mine for a long time and it served me really well.
