Just bought a new CP-Blade and had to send it back to the factory before I flew it. Had a bad glitching problem with the motors disconnected and the 4 in 1 got really hot. When i plugged the motors in, it just thrashed around uncontrollable. Called the service dept and they thought the 4 in 1 burned out. Now this was a brand new heli, never flown and was supposedly "flown at the factory". The box was'nt damaged at all that it was shipped in so it was'nt damaged in shipment. I've been reading hear on RR and it looks like a lot of people have problems and a lot don't. Has anyone else had this type of problem and if so how well was the problem handled by the factory. I am thinking about returning it when I get it back because of the problems people are having. Don't need a heli with a mind of it own.

I had a similar thing happen to my HoneyBee2 when the 4-in-1 unit went bad. The heli wasnt brand new, had maybe 15 flights on it. The symptoms were exactly the same...once I replaced the 4-in-1 everything was ok.

I'd say send it back & have them send you a new heli... hopefully the next one you get will fly as it should right out of the box.

I sent it in and put a discreet mark on the heli to see if they sent a new one back or the old one. I'd be happy with the old one if it is checked out properly. Been waiting for a repley from the factory but nothing yet.

My buddy owns the lhs here in town and they order like 90 at a time and when people buy one, one of us will always set it up for the person before they go and just make sure the gains are where they need to be and they have an understanding of how to use it. A couple of times we plugged in the battery stepped back and boom of it goes through the store and crashes into a wall, thats without even touching the throttle. Doesn't happen very often but when it does eflite is always good about replacing it. I have one and never had a problem, I love mine. With and kind of electronic merchandise there is gonna be a few faulty ones. Horizon hobby(E-flite) will always take care of you. For every one thats bad there always 50 more that fly great right out of the box so don't give up and I promise you'll love the blade just like the rest of us.
Hope that helps and always remember to watch out for the runaway helis.

the amount of time you fly is directly proportional to the amount of parts you buy.

roys the first blade i tried to purchase did the exact same thing, servos going crazy and blades spinning up on there own when we plugged the motor in. the hobby shop sent it back and the next one flys great for a 200.00 heli you cant go wrong. that problem happens once in a while i think some other post found it to be a crack in the crystal in the rx. everyone that posted after getting a heli back form horizon says it flys great.

I just packaged mine up to send it in for replacement. My glitching problems were quite inconsistent. The last one tonight caused a crash that broke the feathering shaft, leaving the blades & blade grips in the grass, broken skid, etc.

I emailed Horizon through their website and included a copy of the letter in the box with the heli. The letter was quite strongly worded, as I am quite frustrated with the whole problem.

Horizon, in spite of this, I am NOT giving up on the Blade. Other than the radio problems, I am VERY happy and impressed with this little model. It is durable, a blast to fly, simple in design, yet fully capable of everything my .30 nitro machine can do (so far, given my piloting capabilities to date).

The thing I love most about this heli is its simplicity in pre-flight. Slap a charged pack in, plug in and fly!! The thing takes minor crashes in style (when it is not glitching), and it is small enough that it is not intimidating to fly inside or out. I have gained a new confidence flying and learning new things OUTSIDE the simulator. What a great product!!
