Not quite... 90-size MP2 and Hatori mufflers weigh just over 8 oz.

> tuned for a 90 - 40 grams!:

Hmm, but is that without the header and coupler? I bet that adds a few more ounces. The weight savings would probably be about 4.5 oz.

Got one question. Why you want to reduce weight so much. Isnt the Raptor 90.. Perfect enought for its weight. Mine flys just fine. And very stable.

It's not just weight but mass for 3D. Acceleration is inversely proportional to mass (F=ma).

That's pretty impressive. What are you running for an auto hub and motor mount?

It'll get lighter in flight as your non-loctited screws fall out!

cor blimey, I should imagine it wouldn't last much longer than 1 flight anyway before it explodes.

I calculated I could save about 1/16 oz by eliminating the loc-tite. I believe it is well worth the weight savings.

BTW.....I have done none of the above weight savings I just wanted to exhibit the extremes people are going through to shave off a few ounces. My Raptor 90 is a pig at a little over 11 1/2 lbs and flys awesome. The only thing I did eliminate is the carbon base plate because I like the ease of getting to the engine when it is not there.

(Edit) I weighed it and comes in at 11.4 lbs

Why not get a Revolution? It weights 9 1/4 lbs ready to fly (without fuel) without any mods. Probably cheaper than getting all the carbon and titanium upgrades

You could disconnect the fuel line from exhuast > main tank, and connect it to a small helium cylinder instead :P

Fuel goes out helium goes in, and if you run out you'll float down nicely as if ur heli been havin some spliffs (or it will just go bang and drop like a rock) but its besides the point, fill it with helium

hmm why does no tail boom support, no fins and no locktite make me shake... as long as i aint near it just take the video when you next fly it

Does anyone know the weight of the Quick-UK frame spacers vs the stock plastic ones? I'm talking about these..

The plastic frame spacers weight around 21 grams for all four, and you can remove them completely and only keep the metal inserts.
