Man This SUCKS. I sent an email to Orbit to ask where I could send my microlader to get fixed and they told me to send it to ICARE. Now it is on its way to Canada and will have to go threw customs and I will probably not see it for a long time. Why the hell didnt they tell me about Radical RC!!!! I am just venting

Anyway thanks I will check them out.

Other than the 3amp discharger rate and the upgradable firmware feature, what make the Orbit Poacklader charger better than the Multiplex LN-5014 (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...?&I=LXKSY1&P=ML). The Multiplex charger has a higher max charge rate (5amps) and cost about $60 to $70 + shipping depending on what Tower coupon you use.

I have the multiplex on order to get me threw but from what I have read I am not going to like it as much as my microlader. I should see it later today and we will see how i like it. I like to be able to set the amps not the mah of the batt. that I want to charge. I dont want to have to start the charger twice. I charge all my packs at .5c so that is where the problem comes in to play for me. Other than that I heard the charger is great so we will see.

Charger

If you can't get the Orbit, check out the e-Station 301.

I have been testing it for 3 weeks and it works flawlessly. Very simpe to use and operate.

I got mine from espirit models in FL. They were quick and a good company.

My experience with all orbit chargers, pocketlader included, is that it will consistantly put another 100-200 mAh into a pack versus say a Triton. Orbit has the best charging firmware I've come across yet. I also built a cable and wrote a Matlab GUI that allows me to see the charge and discharge curves of my packs. Orbit is one of the few companies doing serial interfacing -- a huge feature.

I received my Pocketlader over the weekend from a 2 week backorder. Well, it was worth the wait. Orbit's firmware is the best on the market. A pack that would not charge to capacity with a Schulze 330 hit the mark on the first cycle. My new favorite charger.
