Hi

Right now I have a Shogun V1, its my first heli, I had stripped a few tail gears, (still haven’t found the sweet spot) so instead of buying a belt drive conversion kit I’m thinking about buying a V2. So I want to put everything new in it. I’ve read a lot about the Hitec Hs-56hb servo, it seems that a lot a people agrees that its one of the best, so I bought one just to compare it with the GWS I got. By looking at the case I’m guessing that the Hs needs some modification to fit on the frame. I would like to what you guys are using; motor, electronics, etc. so I can get an idea of what to get. My Tx is a Futaba 7Cap…

Gear still strip on the V2

With the new V2...you willl still strip gear.....not like the Trex...the shogun belt drive have a gear...which is very easy strip as the V1 tail gear.....It a great flying heli....I love it...but it still strip as the V1.... Also that part is backorder... I have three V1 shogun....and one V2......I also have a Trex V2 which I sold.....Gear striping is still a problem with this heli.....

I respectfully dont agree. The gear on the V2 is not a wear out point like it was on the V1. I have several hours and 2 crashes on the original gear, which I wouldn't have been able to say on the V1.

Also, the corresponding component in a Trex is also a gear. Here is a link to the corresponding Trex part!

i'm with rob_t... i have a few hours on my v2 (including a few minor crashes that would have been guaranteed tail gear changes on my v1), and i've spent $0 on parts. It flys better than the v1, and is quieter. My tail blades even have grass stains on them
