Hi Steve

the 600mm mains and 92mm tails are probably going to be a couple of months away yet but I am really excited about these if they are as good as the 710's then we are going to sell a lot of them:-)

Gordon, yes it's this weekend for sure, see you there.

Got mine from Rick's. I have yet to fly them. They are 710 blades and here is what Curtis had to say in regards to 710 and 690 blades.

"The 710s and the 105 tail blades are the only blades coming in on this shipment. It will probably be late October before the Radix 690s are available. The blades will be a little hard to get overall until the end of 2005. We are just getting up to production so things will be a little spotty at first on numbers. But the quality will still be good.

Note: If your machine can fit the 710s you might want to give them a try. I had _______ try out the sample 690s and the production 710s on his Raptor 90 and he really liked the 710s on his Raptor. He had tried other 710s but they tended to load too much with the long Raptor rotor head. But with the Radix 710s he said they worked great. So if they fit and you don’t want to wait I would suggest trying the Radix 710s."

I've tried the 710 185g blades, compared to SAB they seem to have a little more bite, i also get less pitch tendensies in forward flight.
They seem to have little more hangtime than the SABs to.
I really like the blades, i'm going to try the tailblades today.

Have you tried them on hovering? I mean on your F3C ship. I would like to know how they act in gusty wind. You swapped to JR with your F3C helicopter?

Cheers

I would like to know if Curtis plans to use them for F3C too. I will probably swap my SAB204 out for next season, so I am looking for a replacement blade.

Well, he was already useing them in Spain. I asked him if there will be another Radix blades for F3C and if I remember right he said that there will be blade with the same profile but a bit another cg and weight. Not sure of that. Anyway the Radix blades seemed to be very good on hover.

Jarno,

I haven't tried the Radix blades for F3C, Curtis said that he will have another design for F3C, like you said, and he also mentioned that these blades (F3C) will be heavier than the blades that he has now in the market. You also can contact
Curtis .

Yes I'm flying now JR Sylphide for F3C.

Radix

Got my 71s&105s on thursday, put em on today-must say real nice finish to em esp the tails. the 71 sabs didnt half rob the power&from what ive read now they were prob a bad choice for raptor-did someone else say there machine was very pitchy also in ff with sabs?i was starting to look elsewhere for the cause.well if the weather is ok i will go test in morning (sat) see for myself what hype is all about

love em

Popped down field tonight, put two tanks through it,love em,engine doesnt bat an eye-its like i suddenly gained more power under heavy inputs,an retained same if not more bite using more precise inputs, hover gave no issues although doing slow hovering stuff in wind id prob run f/ bar weights with the v paddles, definately none of the loading up my old blades gave me& could well pull another deg of pitch on my machine job well done for me Mr Youngblood
