Shouldn't be too hard to put a anti-rotation guide on it. I'd hate for the linkage to pop off if runing without a anti-rotation guide. I wouldn't run it without one anyway.

This looks good!

Is it gonna be available as in different anodized colors or just purple? All my upgrades are anodized purple so it seems to be a good match..

i flew a 50se fitted with this kit this past Fri..

the best flying 50 i've flown (even felt nicer than evos). i went over anything else that might have caused it to fly extraordinarily well. wasn't anything.. pretty much a bone stock 50se but only with this kit.

FFF and hover without touching sticks no prob. the one i flew was just amazing and precise. i kept pestering the owner if there were any more mods.

i'm still skeptical that it was the ccpm kit that made it fly so well, so i ordered one the same night. i'll slap it on soon and see...

owner used 9252's all around..

The geometry looks all wrong on this new ccpm kit.

It will open up more scale options for the raptors with that pitch arm gone also..

kit took ~ 30min to put on. leveling/config/tuning took another couple hours since you have a lot of ball sizing to do on the supplied links.

kit looks good - the rear elev. arm is the same dimensions as the front bellcranks. the alum. is about 1mm thick. the rear arm uses the "A" portion of the orig elev arm. the ccpm swash ring fits very tightly to the swash. all moving parts move freely and the mod is very easy to "back-out" of.

will fly it this wknd.

Still waiting for comments on how it flies compared to mCCPM.

As posted previously: At our club we have also discussed which is better eCCPM or mCCPM and we concluded that you can not compare a Raptor and a Tempest for this. The head design must be the same. Same heli from swash up with same main frames but one eCCPM and one mCCPM. SOOOO please give me your opinion on the "feel" differance btween the 2 - Same heli but one with eCCPM and one with mCCPM

ok.. i've asked this of others before without getting much detail back. so i'll try to give you a detailed desc with the limited flight time i spent on it. i know it's only a ccpm kit but what the hey..

lemme mention 1st, that i tuned the swash to the head last night by turning down the swash throws in the transmitter to alleviate any binding what so ever. i wished i measured my swash's pitch travel and aileron throws before for comparison but didn't. so, by the time i was done, i eeked out about 12.5 deg +/- and a little over 10 deg cyclic deflection about a 1.5 deg increase in pitch to experiment with. i also removed more binding (and bought more range) by tightening the double-links to the max and using the 100mm link-rod for adjustment.

couldn't wait, so i flew this a.m. for about 4 tanks. 1st one was mostly tuning/trimming.

it was breezy (very light) and off the top, i was looking for that locked in hover and FFF flight feel that the one i tested before had. was not there.

FFF mode: it felt very similiar to mCCPM. i pushed it low to the ground to verify that i can find my plane on both L/R hard banks, found it, and locked it just the same as before. no major difference there. same comment on FBF. seemed to have a slightly better locked in feel into straight FF but i need to test that more to be sure..

transitions (to inverted) : i had a slight phasing problem i noticed but overall liked how the bird transitions to inverted. it seemed to be a little more responsive & not twitchy. also respond to a full bank command just slightly faster...

tic-tocs: it felt a little more authoritative during the transition back to the other direction. this is likely due to having more pitch range with the eCCPM.

snake: the snake felt marginally better/easier in the transitions due to the increase in both pitch authority and increase in pitch range. however, it was just as marginally harder to lock the bank in. my snake looked twitchy today but that may just be me.. have to test more later.

hurricane(fwd/rev): same as FFF/FBF. wasn't too hard to lock (but i think it was just a little tiny bit harder than the "m") felt similiar to the "m".

piro-flip: only did 5 successive p-flips.. felt about the same really but i'm intermediate to this manuever.. again, have to try more later..

conclusion: with the little time i spent on the kit, i can say there is not too much difference between the "m" and the "e"... and i'm guessing this is mainly due to the limitations of the head design. there is only so much pitch range and deflection you can get out of an R50 head but the eCCPM kit can very easily surpass it's limits. i took about 20% off of my swash deflection in the TX menu as well as knocked off another 10% from the pitch. if i left it alone you could easily see the binding caused by the 100mm link-rod. overall not drastically worth it when using the R50 head unless you're looking to increase your pitch range and get more authoritative collective... on the same note, i wonder what it would do using 3DMP head.. hehe.

Thanks for the comprehensive review. I for one appreciate it a lot.

Looks like I'll stick to non-ccpm for my Raptor 50.

I've been aching to try CCPM for a while but I'll just keep working on getting that Stratus. It's not a money thing with me, it's a "am I worthy" thing.

Glenn.
