Sorry to hear of your bad experience. I think it was a lesson for you in SAFETY. You must at least setup your failsafe don't you think ?
Frustration, anger, I appreciate that but don't you think your heli has suffered enough.

Sorry about your luck. I'll bet you'll double check all of your failsafes.

Don't feel bad, I have been known to stomp a mico electric before, out of temper.

As for a neck strap, I won't use one. I figure in a simular situation where the heli is coming for me, the radio is getting tossed into the mains, then I'll deal with what left. I figure a crashed heli and busted radio is far better than a cracked head!

.

Don't come off the throttle untill you see your GOD!

Dunno about not using a neckstrap. You can use what you like. What really counts is physical awareness and not loosing sight in an emergency.

Why it is important to set up all the failsafe functions.
bumped my on off switch and shut my radio off... my rappy jumped up 3 feet
I dont think there were any fail safes to be set. That is the behavior of an FM radio. If it would had been PCM, even without any of the fail safes set, the rappy would had remained still as it went to "Hold".

Another good reason to use PCM instead of FM.
busted off one of the canopy holders in back.... i epoxied that part back on because it is never under stress in flight
Be carefull about the canopy supports and specially the latch. I found the hard way what the "Raptor death dive" was all about.
Man i hate this hobby... Not only do i need help with the addiction...
Hey, we all have been there. Try to laugh it out, it will not be your last mistake.

You have to read what happened to me a while back:

scroll down to see my story. I am lucky to still have both arms today...

There is another thread about dumb things that happened to others

The "I killed the neighbors dog story" is the ultimate.

now I know why I don't use a neck strap

I do fly electric though... this "starting your motor" thing you mention is a foreign concept to me.
