NuBee,

I share your frustration with UPS. A while back I ordered a Versa-Climber, and when it was delivered, the driver dropped it off without ringing the doorbell (I was home at the time, and my neighbor saw him also). It turns out, it was run over by a truck. There was two side-by-side wheel prints on the box, and the heavy aluminum beams were twisted like a pretzel. I sent UPS a letter of complaint, and never heard from them. This was months ago...I guess they are too big to bother with the little guy? Anyway, the Versa-Climber people were excellent to deal with and sent another one right away, even before they got the damaged one back.

Happy Flying!

Same complaint, UPS never rings or knocks anymore. Boxes always damaged from rough handling. I don't know about you guys, but I use the USPS when ever I can. Much less expensive than UPS and much faster. If I send something ground UPS from New Jersey to Calif. it takes 5 to 7 days. If I send the same package USPS it arrives in 3 or 4 days for alot less money. I don't know why anyone would choose UPS. Too bad we don't get a choice from all merchants, like Century, for instance, who only ships UPS. Ricks give you a choice, UPS or USPS. I always choose USPS when ordering from RICKS and get it in 3 days. Takes 9 working days from Corpus Christie TX to NJ with UPS.

Century WILL ship USPS, they just won't do it free on a $50 or over web order. All you have to do is request it. They will also ship DHL under the same stipulations as UPS (free on internet orders over $50). I've been requesting DHL on my orders and get them faster than I did on UPS and have had no issues.

The government cannot give you anything without first taking it from someone else.

Hi Steve,

USPS is an option on net orders, so I don't see why they wouldn't do it.

Hi Steve,

I'm not sure, it was Antonio at Century that I spoke to. After reading your post I thought maybe it had something to do with replacing a defective main gear that came with my kit and they had to foot the postage. It still doesn't make sense though because the USPS is less expensive so why wouldn't they choose it.

I had two right upper side frames in my kit instead of a left and right. I just had a left shipped to me and once again UPS.

I don't know what the answer is, I just know they won't ship my order USPS.

Received my replacement Hawk Pro from Tower Hobbies yesterday. This box arrived in much better condition and the heli seems to be OK. UPS didn't take the damaged one yet, but they are suposed to pick it up some time in the future. Thank goodness Tower stands behind their sales. I appreciate how good their customer service really is. I am still a little disappointed that UPS damaged the first heli which caused me to miss the fun fly at Sacramento.

Best wishes and good flying.

Here in Century Camp our word and service is bond. Why did we choose UPS? In our records shows UPS has a succes rate of 98.9%, UPS can be tracked through USP's website, so you (our customer) as well, as Heli-world can check the status of the order and be at ease that the item will get to you (customer) safe, intact, if there's a claim to be made, UPS are quick to resolve the issue. Our customers brand of approval is the key to our success.

The new Team Century is working for you, we strive to please our customers, We strive to better our relation. (If you do not believe me, I just yelled at one of my customer...hehehe..LOL )

Watch for Genovia when you call Century for support. He tends to overdo things. What a guy!
