Probably a good way to find out is to ask this guy: CY
I asked him at the XFC this year and he commented at that time that everything was complete and ready to kit.

In all honesty, I don't think even he gets the latest information... Once it passes his R&D input, he's out of the loop, so to speak, unless there is a major design issue.

Quite honestly, I think you are probably right...my guess is that Curtis has moved on to "other" things in his life and, although I am confident his inputs were vital to the development of the Vibe, I doubt seriously that he has any idea what JR is doing with the Vibe. Personally, and, if I was a betting man, I would say that JR started hyping the Vibe with too many Vigor and Vigor CS kits still on the shelves, knowing they would be eating crap and barking at the moon on those potential sales if the Vibe hit the streets too soon. My guess is that any/all projections on the Vibe were based on a pre-determined level of remaining CS kits. Who's going to buy a $949 Vigor CS kit, knowing the mods they would have to make when the $1100 Vibe, with all the bells, lights and whistles is on the street. Personally, I think JR has done both themselves and their loyal customers a disservice with this entire Vibe campaign and probably lost a grunch of folks to the Min-Air side of the house.

I saw not one, but two Vibes fly today at the field. Holy smokes they were WILD! JR reps had them there for a show and tell. In any case, if they ever make it to hobby shops for us to buy look out - they represent some serious heli technology.

Dare we ask who had them and where they came from? At this point, if I had someone cruel enough to wave a Vibe under my nose without them being available, I would probably shoot the individual.

There is one respite in all of this...a Vigor CS plus some $$$ can be nicely turned into a very nice flying machine....the bling being the answers JR incorporated in the Vibe as I understand it....thinks such as the bevel gear re-enforcing plate, close tolerance head and BSS, metal tail rotor gearbox, bell crank tail rotor control system and, I think, metal grips.

I'm pretty sure it still has the same blade grips that the Vigors always had. I'd doubt if they were going to change them to metal.

If the reps had them to fly surely they would have either a delivery date, or know why the delay. perhaps if JR read the comments on RR their PR would be better. In UK the importer told me it was still in development, but I read elswhere on RR a post saying Curtis had told them that it was ready from a development point of view. Any one think they are Beta testing at this time?

Marty Kuhns was at the Springfield flyin this weekend with a Vibigor. It has a Vibe canopy, but is o/w a Vigor CS with the usual upgrades and mods.

Of course, it flew great, as did he! However, it was not a Vibe. I have yet to see an 'in the flesh' vibe anywhere but in pictures. To be fair, I haven't gotten out much this year (some reps may indeed be flying the real thing; i just haven't seen any evidence of it).

Hey Guys,
I just got back tonite from curtis' school. His word is that he heard it would be october, but he also said, that JR had said the same thing last october. From what he knows it will be this month. Let me tell you what, from this weekend flying it its gonna be worth the wait. They've fixed somethings and it flys awesome......AWESOME! I'll post some pics of it later

Yeah I went back in 2000 and it rained the whole time. But the whole weekend was great, a lil windy but it was a blast. I really got alot out of it.
