Is it my Evo or is it everyones?? The stock drive train (gears) are abit noisey.. Also would a dab of plutonium jelly help in quieting the gears down or is this not a good idea??? Last.. I have seem many people with the upgraded white gears.. How much performance will I gain going with the upgrade gears?? Many thanks on your feedbacks..

the derlin gears seem to really be smooth and quiet but a bit pricey at about $90 for the set. i belive you can change the main gear to the derlin and still use the original auto rotation gear, for a lot less.

The stock plastic gears are a little noisy especially after a number of gallons have been run in on the machine. Just upgraded to the delrin main gear and counter gear and the noise does seem quite reduced.

Is plutonium jelly radioactive? No grease on open gears!

The delrin gears are a plus when it comes to noise as far as performance is none I lived with the noise and spent money on fuel
after 24 gallons so far no performance loss with the plastic gears just a little whine
if anybody asked about the whine i just tell them it is the supercharger kicking in

I like the whine. It sounds distinctive.

I did have a problem with the counter gear wearing out rather quickly running the plastic gears. After going through several counter gears, I went to the Derlin set-up. They are a little expensive, but the wear very well.

There isn't anything wrong running plastics, just watch for wear on the counter.
